Who We Are and What We Do
Hong Kong Mass Transit InfoCenter (HKMTIC), which is a website (http://www.hkmtr.net) independent of Mass Transit Railway Corporation and its business partners, constantly strives to provide visitors with information on the Hong Kong subway - Mass Transit Railway that achieves our goal: Qualty. Variety. Freshness. The Webmaster holds copyright of ALL photos (over 350 in total) published on HKMTIC. In addition to hosting HKMTIC, we also support and provide assistance to education related to subways, as well as railways.
HKMTIC was established on 14 July 2001. We first provided up-to-date train related incidents information, and a little about the history of Mass Transit Railway (Past Section), which was followed by the expansion of the Present and Future Sections. As the number of visitors grew, so did the number of photos we display. The Galleries Section is, in fact, where all visual resources concentrated. At same time, we added a large photo, which measures 800 X 600 pixels, in the Photo of the Month page, and updated it on a monthly basis.
We also set up a Guestbook for visitors to sign their names on and give comments. In June 2002, HKMTIC went thru an upgrade, and became HKMTIC 3. We did a complete redesign and renovation of the entire site, making it more friendly to visitors, more useful, and more enjoyable.
In October 2003, we became a part of the skytrain//network. With this change, the exploration of the world of SkyTrain is just one click away.
Due to techincal issues, HKMTIC will not be updated for the time being. However, HKMTIC will continue expanding in the future. We are planning to add more pages on the operation of Mass Transit Railway, including Signalling, Train Controlling and More.
In order to improve services provided by HKMTIC, we definitely need your say. Please send us an email to express your opinions and suggestion to HKMTIC. We read thru every email received thoroughly, and will perform appropriate actions to HKMTIC immediately. Satisfaction of visitors is our FIRST PRIORITY. Our email address is email@example.com.
